#### Description of Module

The principal aim of this module investigates feelings and attitudes towards President Obama, to determine what role race, religion, and emotion play in perceptions of Obama, based on a pilot studies of the three team members in 2008 and 2009. Specifically, we run an experiment framing Obama as sympathetic to either the Muslim, Christian, Black, or White community, given his background, to see how the public responds. However like all teams, we have many and varied research interests! Second, we take up the issue of personality traits and vote choice, giving voters a short bio about fictitious Congressional candidates, and ask voters to evaluate their competence, experience, knowledge, compassion, leadership, and more to see how this maps on to vote choice. Finally, we have content related to the Tea Party, Immigration policy and attitudes, negative campaign ads, and same-sex marriage, and electoral reform.
